CFC, a specialist insurance provider focused on emerging risks and cyber, has announced the appointment of Jane Poole as Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO).<\/p>\n

\"CFCPoole succeeds current Group CFO Michael Grist, who has served for nearly 16 years. Grist will step back from day-to-day responsibilities later this year but will remain with the business in an advisory capacity.<\/p>\n

Commenting on the transition, Grist said, \u201cAfter nearly 16 years at CFC, I\u2019ve decided that now is the right time to step back from day-to-day responsibilities as Group CFO. This business has been the journey of a lifetime, and I\u2019m immensely proud of what we\u2019ve built together. With CFC entering its next phase of growth, I look forward to working with Louise, Jane and the Board in an advisory capacity to continue supporting CFC on its incredible trajectory.\u201d<\/p>\n

In her new role, Poole will oversee the group\u2019s financial strategy and performance to drive the next phase of growth as the company continues to scale globally.<\/p>\n

She joins CFC from Direct Line Group, where she served as Group CFO, leading the financial turnaround to improve profitability, capital strength and operational resilience, while also overseeing the \u00a33.7 billion acquisition of Direct Line Group by Aviva.<\/p>\n

Previously, Poole was CFO of Aviva\u2019s UK & Ireland General Insurance business, where she played a key role in driving growth, enhancing capital efficiency, and strengthening financial governance. Before that, she spent nearly 15 years at RSA Insurance Group in senior leadership roles, having started her career at PwC.<\/p>\n
