MS Reinsurance (MS Re), a Switzerland-domiciled global reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Lutz Honstetter as Chief Investment Officer (CIO).<\/p>\n

\"MSIn his new role, Honstetter will be responsible for shaping the company\u2019s long-term investment strategy. Based in Zurich, he will report directly to Robert Wiest, Chief Executive Officer of MS Re, and will be a member of the Leadership Team.<\/p>\n

Honstetter brings more than 25 years of international experience in asset management across the insurance, pension, and banking sectors.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining MS Re, he held a number of senior investment leadership roles at Zurich Insurance Group, including Chief Investment Officer Germany, and served as a member of the Executive Committee. Most recently, he was Group Investment Management \u2013 Strategy Implementation Advisory at Zurich Insurance.<\/p>\n

Earlier in his career, he held a regional senior leadership role at Axa-Winterthur in Asia, as well as positions at PwC and Winterthur Group.<\/p>\n
